Shiloh is a Christian community school rooted in the Farm Block of Mkushi, Zambia. We believe that happy children learn, and everything we do flows from that conviction.
Shiloh Learning Centre sits at the heart of the Farm Block community of Mkushi, Zambia. We are deeply rooted in the people around us, and that shapes everything from how we greet each other in the morning to how we celebrate the end of a good term.
With small class numbers, every child is given the opportunity not just to be visible, but to be truly heard. Our teachers know every child by name, by strength, and by story. That kind of relationship does not happen by accident. It is something we protect and prioritise every single day.
Not many schools have their own dam in the backyard, where students spend countless hours fishing between lessons. We have bush walks, open fields, chickens, sandpits, trampolines and space to simply be a child. Learning happens everywhere here, not just inside four walls.
Words can only say so much. These photos give you a feel for what a day at Shiloh actually looks like — the joy, the energy and the genuine connections our children make.
Shiloh is a Christian school. Our faith is not a programme or an add-on. It is woven into the fabric of everything we do. We believe that every child is made in the image of God, uniquely gifted, and called to a life of purpose.
This shapes how we treat one another, how we approach learning, and how we understand our responsibility to the community and world around us. Each school day begins with Devotions, grounding our community in gratitude and a shared sense of purpose.
Children of all faith backgrounds are warmly welcomed at Shiloh. We simply ask that families respect and embrace the Christian ethos that makes our school the community it is.
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6These are not words on a poster. They are the commitments we make to one another every day, as teachers, as parents and as students.
We treat every person with dignity and genuine regard, regardless of grade, role or background.
We do the right thing even when nobody is watching. Honesty and consistency build character that lasts.
We look outward, not inward. A Shiloh student asks not only what they can achieve, but how they can contribute.
We seek first to understand. A community that truly listens is one where every child belongs and thrives.
We own our choices, our work and our impact on others. Growing up means learning to be accountable.
We embrace difficulty as part of growth. Failure is not the end — it is where the real learning begins.
